Travel to Armenia Day 1 Arrival in Yerevan-Transfer to selected hotel, Rest and Sightseeing Sightseeing of Yerevan city including city center,Republic Square,State University,City panorama,Cascade Parliament,President´s Palace,Opera,Matenadaran(depository for ancient manuscripts),sports and concerts complex,Visit to Genocide Museum.We continue to Armenian central market.Visit to the ruins of Erebuni fortress, founded during the Urartian kingdom by King Argishti in 782 BC and the Erebuni museum(1968)with Urartian period exhibits.Erebuni has been renamed in to Yervan since the 7th century AD,when it was the capital of Armenia.Welcome dinner in a tradional Armenian resturant. Day 2 Etchmiadzin-Zvartnots-Armenian Cognac plant Breakfast in the hotel.Drive to Etschmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative center of Armenian Apostolic Church.Visit to Etchmiadzin Cathedral(4th century), the museum,St.Hripsime Church(7th century),Unesco world heritage list 2000). The program includes lunch in a local resturant.Visit to famous Armenian Cognac plant with tasting of famous Armenian brandy. Day 3 Khar Virap-Noravank-Areni Winery Breakfast at the hotel.Visit to Khor Virap Church-the place of imprisionment of St.Gregory the illuminator,who stayed here in small dungeon for 13 years without any food,accused by the Armenian king of preaching Christianity.Khor Virap church was built on the dungeon and now people have a chance to go down in to dark pit themselves.It is one of the holy places for the Christian world.Here is the closest and most spectacular view of the gorgeous mountain Ararat(Where arc of Noah stood)with its two white peaks.The hills adjoining Khor Virap were the site of Armenian capital-ancient Artashat built by King Artashes I,founder of the Artashesid dynasity around 180 B.C.It is one of the few ancient town built by the famous Carthaginian general Hannibal. After the defeat in a war against Rome,he found shelter in Armenia...after visiting Khor Virap driver through the spectacular canyan between the red rocks toward Noravank monestry(13th century.Tour to Arni winery for wine testing.Lunch. Day 4 Garni-Geghard Breakfast in the hotel.Drive to the remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun-Myrth in Garni built in 77 AD by King Tradt(Arshakid dynasty).The temple is Greco-Roman style with pillars.It stands proudly in a rocky ridge with a deep Canyon presenting a beautiful view.The temple was summer residence for Ashakid dynasty.Visit to the ruins of Royal Palace and Royal bath house nearby.Drive to the unique caved temple St.Gegard(12th-13th cc)the name of which means holy spear in the honour of the long preserved spear,the same spear that pierced the body of Crucified Christ.It is exhibited in the museum of Etchmiadzin.We eat lunch and go to see baking of tradional Armenian bread known as Lavash. Day 5 Lake Swan-Tbilisi Breakfast in the hotel:drive to Sevan,one of the greatest highwater mountainous freshwater lakes of Euroasia.Drive to Sadaahlo-Georgian-Armenian border.Cross the border and drive to Tabilisi.Lunch in tradional Georrgian restaurant.Transfer to hotel in Tbilisi. Day 6 Tibilisi city tour Breakfast in the hotel.Tbilisi sightseeing tour including old and new town.Visit to old Tbilisi starts from Metekhi church than walk up to the brick doomed sulpher baths,then Narikhala fortress,one of the oldest fortifacation in the city.After visit to the Syangogue,Sioni Cathedral and Anchristi church.After lunch visit the stunning treasury of the Georgian national museum,before taking a stroll along Rustaveli avenue-the main street of Tbilisi. Day 7 Tbilisi-Mitskheta-Annanuri Breakfast at the hotel.Drive to ancient capital and religous center of Georgia-Mt Shekheta and visit its historical places.Jvari monestry and Svetitskhoveli catherdral where the robe of Christ is buried.Drive to the Ananuri monestry(17th.century)which is situated in the bank of Khivali lake with the view of Caucaseus hills.Lunch Day 8 Departure to the airport to catch flight to your country.
